Our Stage 1 research demonstrates our ability to develop a living heart valve. We have developed, designed, and printed the first prototypes of valve stents, generated biocompatible & non-antigenic pericardial biomaterials for valve design, achieved differentiation of hADSCs into ECs and FBs, shown interstitial and external cell seeding allows for tissue revitalization, and demonstrated that the living heart valve can be tested in the bioreactor from Aptus Bioreactors.
